Lug nut conundrum

Kirk:
Craftsman PN-44436 is a 19mm 6 point deep socket. Mine is relatively new and came from the local Sears.

But is it a 1/2" drive? Even having blown up a socket in a previous life, I'm willing to go with the non-impact solution but I'm not going to put an adapter between the impact wrench and the socket during a pit stop.

Made by the same Sunex company that I listed in the Northern ad above, I just bought set of thin-wall impact sockets. They are double-ended and use a 3" extension. You simply flip the the socket over and use whichever end you need.

Part number is 2724.
Lifetime warranty.
1/2" drive.

I paid $20 off the tool truck at work.

Correction on the part number from Craftsman -0944446 at $6.99 is a 12 point in the catalog. I have the 3/8" version, which is a 6 point.

Chris,

I think I've seen what you're talking about. If so, they're not deep enough to use w/ long wheel studs.

Yeah, you are probably right, but I have wheel spacers on mine and they work okay. The spacers reduce the length of the stud by 3/8".

Sorry, that was a 12 point, 19mm, that I use on the rechargeable impact. I use a 6 point on the torque wrench that's a Snap On. My bad.
