NHIS in a Month!

I don't know what Stephen is complaining about....

Spy photo's taken last night with my camera ;) looks to me like the car is in better shape now than it ever has been!!! :cavallo:

Spying on me, now that is just not fair! And besides today I painted it Silver! I still have to put the engine together, Build the suspension, and put it all back in the car.... hopefully Saturday the Blue will be painted and it will be on it's way back home! Then I can go to town putting it all back in 1 peice! It still hasn't started in over 17 Months!! Since the ARRC in 2004 :o

PS: Raymond stop spying and help out :)

Newly installed and properly cambered rear axels are in place on the SPO machine - just might barely make it. Just need to finish the front left suspension and alignment and she'll be done.

V8 power thumping soon.

Sounds like every ones almost ready, Unloaded the RX 7 to its new owner(s). Parked the SPO in the new garage & promptly made it a storage container. Needed space for the tractor, shovels, rakes & kid toys. Oh well maybe Memorial day or pig roast. See ya at the school. BIG BORE RULES!!!!!

Well, I have my car back form the body shop... It got painted the wrong color Blue for the blue stripe :o .... arrgggg I hate it when they give you the wrong quart at the paint supplier! :018:

Anyway I decided I really wanted to race at NHIS so I would go and have it repainted after the first race.... :dead_horse:

Last night putting the final touches on the engine before I install it... Yes it is still not installed. :o And what do you know we brake an injector off inside the head! :bash_1_: Not what I needed. I am now off to take the head off and get the peices parts out, this is not what I had in mind when I decided to gut the car and go through everything before this season! I can't belevie I started this process 4 months in advance and I still got to 1 week away and It's crunch time and time to thrash. I guess no matter how early you start you will always run into that deadline at some point!

I hope everyone else is much more prepaired than I am!
Stephen

I'm having a lot of trouble dialing my forced induction set-up in. Can anyone help?....anyone?....Bueller? :D

See ya there (I hope......no shocks...no rims....no tires......no problems?????)

Well I am calling it a day! The injector is fixed and the intake manifold back on!! The suspension is in but not set just in the car... The engine is in but not running, The axles are not in and the exhaust isn't finished... yuck those are the parts I hate, oh ya the shifter darn I guess I will need that! Then it's lights, door handles and bumpers oh my!

Well at least it resembles a car now! :happy204:
off to get some zzz's :015: and then bring the crew to the airport at 5AM so they can go on Vaca while I thrash some more!

Stephen

PS: Look out Raymond... the only reason I am doing this is to beat you! :cavallo: Our cars may look alike and give that illusion of a "team" but truth is you are gone, your car is sitting next to mine, I'm restoring mine and I needed some parts :o You'll never figure out which ones :D

The SPO car sits on the trailer waiting to go to the race shop for the final suspension and alignment work. They still don't have a slot ready for me.

Lookout ITS - I registered since the race shop seems to be in a coma and unable to get it done!

Stephen - I heard that stolen parts are good for an extra .5 second at NHIS! Slows the competition down too!

[/b]

hummmm not suer what to say, other than now I have an excuse if you beat me... and if you don't beat me... what will be your excuse???

Also don't forget to give props to Tom who is taking all of next week off to set up the cars and get them BOTH ready to kick some @$$!!! Also be careful, I am also on vacation next week (not going to Myrtle Beach with the rest of the crew) so while you are at work and I am doing the final touches you car may become victome of what you have started :018:

Raymond "this will be an interesting year!!!" Blethen

With a 60% chance of rain I just installed the wipers!! Make sure everyone packs rain gear and wastes tons of time doing so... this almost always gaurentees no Rain, so prepare for it like crazy!

Off to my real Job to pay for these late nights that some call preperation and others call thrashing...

Praying for sun shine B)
Stephen

This is great! :OLA: Stephen, I heard that Ray is going to mess around with your timing before the LRP event. Oh, and Ray, you should hear the stuff Stephen has planned for you. Guys, keep going with this. I'll take all the help I can get. :)

Praying for Rain!!! :035: If you recal the 05 NARRC Runoffs race, I have no fear when it comes to a slippery track... Although I didn't get any ice racing in this season, wich has me a bit disapointed :( ...

Raymond

You guys heard the weather report already for next week? Well, Raymond and Stephen, if you are praying for rain you better talk to your guardian angels  Gram and Gramp and have them "water the garden" for you! :happy204: Looking forward to next Sunday.....need a good break from reality. Hope to see some good racing....and DON'T SCRATCH the silver paint Stephen....it's ok to scratch the blue! :cavallo:

Just wanted to say good luck to all of you this weekend. Sorry we won't be able to make it up for a visit. Be safe and drive well. :happy204:
