OK - Who is getting ready to RACE?

Guys,
This year will be the first year that one of us is in the same car all season. Eli will be running the ITB Scirocco, while I tool around in a brand new HUMMWV (hummer). The goals are the same no matter who is behind the wheel. no DFL and get the car on the trailer under its own power.
Good luck to everyone and have a safe season

Matt and Eli-

I thought your bets were based on beating an Audi or not

MATT!!!

Great to hear from you! I will make you a deal, send me your mailing address and I will send you a SCCA Club Racing Sticker and a Grassroots Motorsports sticker...."temporarily" stick them on the Hummer and snap a shot

My first race will probably be at Pocono in May but we'll be up to NHIS for a visit and to cheer on the rest of you folks.

I'm going to the PDA event on the 25th. How does PDA and SCDA compare? I also know another IT guy will be there but in a MIATA!! But I won't hold it against him. Also another PDA even on April 8. We'll be good and warmed up for NHIS!

OH you think so. ME and MArky were pulling parts off the car at the car show you weren't at so you wouldn't be to fast.

Alan,
I will do one better and permanently stick that on my HMMWV and send you a picture.
In exchange you must finish that house and go racing this year!!!!!
I cant post my address here, but… give Eli a call for it(sorry)rules are rules
By the way I still owe you some wheels or tires or something????? See if Eli will work a deal with you on that one.

Raymond,
Yes that is usually one of the bets. And Eli had better come through this year or he will owe me CASES of beer instead of the usual 6 packs.
I will be checking in regularly to see how things play out.

Again have a safe fast season and I will see you guys soon.

I've done both PDA and SCDA and they are very similar. Well run, good track time, no safety worries. Although I might start doing some of the open test days at Pocono or LRP-just need to find out more about cost and if there are sound restrictions.

Cheers,

But wait!

.....there's more!

Snow, that is, and it's due Friday, the 18th.

Isn't there some event at Lime Rock Friday? Is Ian Prout there?

I was scheduled to do a day with the CT Valley PCA in my 911 one year, but, you guessed it...too much snow, and poof!.... no event. That was March 31st.

Hey... you could also live up here in the White Mountains. My trailer is still behind a 3 foot high snow bank! DOH!

Hey Gran, just wait 'til summer. You can ask me then how I am enjoying the Florida weather.

I'll never forget one school at Daytona in July. Temp was 97, heat index was 107 and I'm in a black three-layer suit.

I had the trailer out and moving last week. It got snowed in again. Damn. I'll have to shovel that out over the next couple of days...
