Who will win???

The 02's are not Fuel Infected in ITB the Tii's are ITA cars. They are light and making good power with 32/36 DGV Webers.

>> OTOH, Pablo's supposed to make an appearance, so then it should be nothing more than a question of how well-tuned-up the pilot is, right?

Don't you know Vaughn, that the MkIII Golf is a magic car? It goes fast all by itself because of the rules. I don't NEED mad skilz.

I suppose we're about to find out. That "2 cars in class" stuff you been bitchin' about won't be a problem come the 2nd weekend in August.

Scott, who believes the Doc has more skillz than he lets on.

LOL!

I'm looking forward to this, gonna be fun with a big field!! Nice to get some real competition again...

So I'm not the only one losing double digit car lengths to a 2002 on the back straight?

First thing I did was run up to Matt and tell him I'm getting absolutely creamed on the back straight by them.

Just to clarify something. There is a PDX on Friday that is going to be mainly geared to street cars. There is an instructors group that will be made up of competition cars. Space is limited and you have to contact Kurt Neimeyer at [email protected] to sign up to help.

There is an evening test session being put on by Mid Ohio for all the classes eligible. This is an open test session. $150 gets you 3-20 minute sessions on the track. The evening sessions run from 5 pm till 8 pm. Go to www.midohioschool.com to register. Steve Bidlack is the chief instructor.

Just curious, Raymond, how much EXTRA is it going to cost vs last year? Simple math...total miles/miles per gallon X actual dollar increase in prices from a year ago.

For example, lets just say I go 1000 miles round trip, and I get 10 MPG. That's 100 gallons burned. And lets just say that gas has gone up a dollar a gallon. (all numbers for easy math) So that would be $100. What are your numbers?

Jake-

Last year it cost us around $1,000 in travel (gas, tolls, etc but not including food or time). As the gas prices continue to rise it makes it more difficult for someone whom "barely made it" in the past to actually make it now.

This year we just don't have that in the budget (growing up in personal life also costs money it seems :( ). We didn't have enough last year either but we found it with a little help from others. This year we both needed to build new motors and that took up a considerable amount of the racing fund. I would love to go, but as we get close I just don't think I have enough to make it, even at last years gas prices.

Raymond

PS: I am not sure what we get for gas mileage, but we are going to lime rock next week... We will do the math and see how much it would cost.

Raymond.
Maybe semantics but it is not that you don’t have the money. It is your priorities won’t allow you to spend it on racing.
