Just teasing. :P

It's still pretty early for entries, but just wait till word gets out that Downing's buying beer for the Friday night paddock party! :birra:
[/b]

How's he going to do that if he's still working on the car that night?
:happy204: :018:

Come on Steve, don't tell me that you've never seen Downing's patented "stand by and drink beer while Shawn works on my car" move! :D

dave,

my hair is no longer that long and what is there is no longer that red, otherwise it might be a decent likeness.

tom

but i am trying to arrange things to get there. more later...

When was the last time you ran 18's at WHRRI? :P
[/b]

You ran a 18.9 in your ITA car... and I ran a 19.1 same weekend. You as fast with your ITB car as your ITA car? This past weekend you were only a 1/10th in front of me, and my car was handling like doggy poop! :eclipsee_steering:

The track was a bit off this last weekend I would say. :P

Besides, the Neon handles like doggy poop all the time......

LOL...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, all the dogs were pooping in my paddock all weekend, starting Friday night!

Talked with Tom Fowler with OPM auto sports. He will be coming to the show with at least 5 cars maybe more. If anyone is interested he is more than happy to take customer orders and bring parts to the track. His website is http://www.opmautosports.com

I myself do not sign up for a race until the previous race is complete and I feel I can get the car ready for the race. [/b]

That sounds like way too much planning. I sent in my entry a couple weeks ago and just started working on my car. And I still have to finish tearing down the race engine, get it back to the machinist, reassemble it, pull the stock engine back out, install the race engine, drop the tank and fix the fuel pump, install the gauges that should have been in there to start with, and hopefully repaint the front of the car.

I hope we get some rain by then so Downing won't see me coming. :023:

Todd, did you ever find out whether those not participating in the PDX can enter the paddock before 6 PM Friday?

Marty,

Actually if you can enter the track on Thursday night, BUT to do that you must be either a volunteer or a driver in the PDX. You need to contact Kurt ( PDX Chairman) at [email protected] either way . As far as Friday I expect Deborah will open up around 4 p.m. but I need to confirm that. I know she will be helping with the PDX registration on Friday morning.

Keep in mind if you enter the track Thursday evening you still have to come back out to registration on Friday afternoon to register for the weekend.

Todd

How about crew for the PDX - Can we come in Thursday night? I can contact Kurt if need be... Just want to make sure I'm not camping at the entrance Thurs. night. (but that wouldn't be that bad!)

Are you talking about the Downing Racing pit crew? Or crew members that are helping out with the PDX.

I talked a friend (Dan H.) into joining the SCCA and signing up for the PDX. Two of us are going to be there to make sure everything goes great for him. The Two of us want to come up on Thurs. night to be there first thing Friday... As long as everything is going fine w/ him, we should be available to lend a hand where needed.

:)

I would e-mail Kurt and make sure but it should work just like any other SCCA event. If he is a member of SCCA then you ( at the least) could get in as his guest. Registration for the PDX will be open Thursday evening at 6 pm.

Now off to ORP for some National fun.
