Josh,

Thanks for all your time on the ITAC. The fact you announced this here indicates your commitment to the class, even when life is pulling you in other directions. I hope to catch up with you at the track some weekend soon.

Best wishes, good luck, and happy racing. I hope that our paths cross a little closer so we can meet in person, and I can shake your hand.
 
Will someone from the ITAC be designated to keep this thread updated? I don't think Danny posts here too often (at all?)

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. While it may not be communicated enough by your fellow racers, I think everyone appreciates the work that you and all the ITAC members have done (and will continue to do). It seems, at least from the outside looking in, like a thankless job at times, but very necessary.

I was wondering last month how the committee was doing with the "examining the weights of several ITB cars" mentioned in the August Fastrack. Any news?

Ah, good point. That reminded me of my Engine mount request. Since the original request was submitted by Tom Hoppe when I was on the ITAC, the ITAC has 'turned over' essentially 3 or 4 times.
Jeff Young is, I think, the only guy who's been on it for more than a year and a half, I think.
Edit: Just went to the SCCA site, which lists Les Chaney and Lee Graser as members. I was under the impression that they had both left. If not, then they clearly hold the longest running member distinction)

I received confirmation a month or two agao that a decision was made on the two items I submitted but they haven't appeared in Fastrack. Odd.
 
I have a request into the ITAC also on the engine/trans mounts and have not been notified of any resolution. How about it Jeff??? Chuck
 
Lee Graser is still on. Les is not.

We've worked up a list of the ITB cars that we have, via my review of results from across the country over the last 5 years, seen as being actively campaigned. We'll now start discussing (a) whether the power to weight ratio in ITB is "correct" (I personally believe it is) and (b) trying to ensure that all actively campaigned cars are processed correctly.
 
Here's the list of ITB cars I culled from 4-5 years of results at Summit, Road America, Atlanta, Daytona, etc.:

A2 Golf
A1 Rabbit/GTi
A1 Scirroco
Volvo 142
BMW 2002
Civic (Ruck Version and Underwood Version)

Omni/Charger
Alfa Spider (see a few of these around)
Alfa GTV (same)
Plymouth Fire Arrow
Triumph TR7
Fiat Spider
Opel Manta
Opel GT

If I missed any obvious ones being run, let me know.

What about using the B cars which people have previously requested to be reviewed, the list the ITAC already worked on in addition to those?
 
What, no ITB Miata? Come on, there *must* be one that you can class in ITB... early 1.6 with mandatory luggage rack and spare wheel? :p
